What is Lauricidin®/Monolaurin?
Lauricidin®, is a combination of glycerol and lauric acid naturally found and extracted from coconut and palm oils. Lauric acid is a medium chain TRIglyceride (3 tails connected to a glycerol) Lauricidin®/Monolaurin (a medium chain MONOglyceride - 1 tail connected to a glycerol). To make monolaurin, we take purified Lauric acid from coconut oil, and combine it with coconut-derived glycerol. This creates the monoglyceride known as monolaurin. It's readily absorbed in the gut as a monoglyceride, ensuring optimal utilization when taken after food or with a lipase-containing enzyme. Monolaurin was originally discovered in breast milk by Med-Chem founder Prof. Dr. Jon Kabara in 1966 and has been extensivly tested ever since for it's wide spectrum properties. Coconut oil contains the triglyceride Lauric Acid....when you consume coconut oil, only a small percentage of the Lauric Acid is converted to the immune active ingredient Monolaurin. Simply place contents of the scoop in mouth and wash down with cool water or juice with meals. Take Lauricidin® in small amounts until you reach your recommended intake level.
