I suffered from terrible spring tree pollen allergies for many, many years: acute, life disrupting, sometimes disfiguring (at least to me), burning, itchy, swollen, red eyes from about mid-April to the end of May each year. It got so bad that at one point I actually began to plan to be away from home for the month of April or May each year. Even my super smart functional medicine doc at the time (now something of a celebrity MD) couldn't figure it out. He counseled me to wash my sheets, face and hair daily and to try stinging nettle tea. "Woe to thee who focuses (only) on symptoms."

Turns out the problem was in my gut! Seems like just about every problem has its genesis there these days.

In Feb-March 2018 I did a botanical ABX protocol that included Lauricidin. It's impossible to say, of course, how much of the result was due to the monolaurin, but I can honestly say that I felt a kind of subtle internal battle taking place in my body after I began taking it. The first week I developed a sort of hives/urticaria type "die off" reaction on my inner forearms and decided to take the gradual dose escalation guidance more seriously.

Long story long... when the trees bloomed this spring it was the first time in literally decades that I had not only diminished (which I would have been grateful for) but ZERO itching, burning, swelling. I am a total monolaurin convert now and am eager to explore all its potential uses, as well as its mechanism of action.
